Do filme "Orfeu de Carnaval" - De Marcel Camus ( Orphée Noir ) ( Black Orpheus )
La Chanson D'Orphee
Matin, fais lever le soleil
Matin, à l'instant du réveil
Viens tendrement poser

In 1979 America (Dewey Bunnell and Gerry Beckley) were at the height of their popularity and had just released "Silent Letter" their first album as a duo following the departure of fellow founder member Dan Peek. Acclaimed Australian film maker Peter Clifton captured the band at their concert in New York's Central Park and then followed them across to California where he filmed them in the studio and on location. All of this footage was combined to make America "Live At Central Park".

http://www.eagle-rock.com/artist/391B0A/Black+Crowes
Shot live in San Francisco in August 2005, The Black Crowes present a set of their all-time greatest hits to a jam-packed house of their dedicated fans. After taking a break to pursue solo ventures in 2002, their 2005 tour became one of the hottest tickets wherever they performed. From the opening chords of "(Only) Halfway To Everywhere" to the final crash of the cymbals on their cover of The Band's "The Night They Drove Ol' Dixie Down", The Crowes give their all to the appreciative crowd. An animated Chris Robinson belts out staples "Sting Me", "Jealous Again" and "Hard To Handle" with the passion that any frontman worth his salt would aspire to achieve. Brother Rich Robinson lays down the blues-based rhythm while providing soulful backing vocals. The band slows it down in the middle, with the Brothers Robinson mesmerizing the crowd with acoustic versions of several tunes, including "Sunday Night Buttermilk Waltz" and "She Talks To Angels".
Tracklisting:
1) (Only) Halfway To Everywhere 2) Sting Me 3) No Speak No Slave 4) Soul Singing 5) Welcome To The Goodtimes 6) Lovin' Cup 7) Jealous Again 8) Space Captain 9) My Morning Song 10) Sunday Night Buttermilk Waltz 11) Cursed Diamond 12) She Talks To Angels 13) Wiser Time 14) Non Fiction 15) Seeing Things 16) Hard To Handle 17) Let Me Share The Ride 18) Mellow Down Easy 19) Remedy 20) The Night They Drove Ol' Dixie Down
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama (From "Sweet Home Alabama" DVD)

http://www.eagle-rock.com/artist/8D6866/Lynyrd+Skynyrd
Lynyrd Skynyrd are the ultimate Southern Rock band. Their signature three guitar attack coupled to superb songwriting and massive on stage charisma has rightfully earned them a reputation as one of the greatest live bands of all time. The original band infamously had their career cut short by a disastrous plane crash in 1977 which took the lives of three members plus two of their road crew and seriously injured several others. In 1987 the surviving members reformed the band with Johnny Van Zant taking the place of his brother Ronnie. This concert from 1996 captures the band on top form at Rockpalast's Loreley Festival on 23 June 1996.
Tracklisting:
1) Working For MCA 2) I Ain't The One 3) Down South Junkin' 4) Double Trouble 5) I Know A Little 6) Saturday Night Special 7) Swamp Music 8) What's Your Name 9) That Smell 10) Simple Man 11) Gimme Three Steps 12) Call Me The Breeze 13) Sweet Home Alabama 14) Free Bird
Bonus Features:
As a real treat for Lynyrd Skynyrd fans we have three tracks from the Hamburg Musikhalle on 5 December 1974 featuring the original line-up of the band performing their three best known songs:
1) Working For MCA 2) Free Bird 3) Sweet Home Alabama

Sammy Davis, Jr. on Late Night: "I Can't Get Started"
Probably Sammy Davis, Jr.'s last TV performance. He died of lung cancer about a year later. At the end, he tells Paul Shaffer "No rehearsal. See--better!" This explains the very light touch by the band until the tempo changes--they've never played with this man before, and he's a legend among legends! But when they hit the groove, they all swing. All in all, a very tasty performance. (Imagine being able to just walk onto live TV and pull this off effortlessly! It's mind-boggling....) Sammy's one of my heroes, and while his shtick was sometimes hard to take, there's no debating his prodigious talent, even in that last year of his life.

'At Last' (music by Harry Warren, lyrics by Mark Gordon) sung by Elvis Costello accompanied by pianist Marian McPartland for her radio program "Piano Jazz" released on CD in 2003. CD tracks alternate between introduction and discussion of the song to follow. Elvis speaks of his father (Ross McManus) who was trumpet player and later a singer with the Joe Loss Orchestra. Elvis explains that his desert island record would that of his father singing this song. (I have attempted to locate a recording of Ross McManus singing this for years without any but a little luck...I did find a sample of the track with the intro and the first line , and Elvis indeed does sound like his old man. I will not give up my search and will be sure to upload here if I find a copy. (Note: I DO NOT OWN THIS MATERIAL AND WILL REMOVE IT IMMEDIATELY UPON REQUEST FROM OWNER)

Filmed outdoors on a small neighbourhood street in NYC, it starts off in the day, then mellows into a beautiful sunset, before picking up the tempo as the stars emerge.
Lots of great energy here, as Peter jams with his excellent band and displays obvious enjoyment in his mega-watt smiles and rhythmic head-bopping. The sound quality is amazing, so make sure you watch it in the evening in a nice, quiet setting for maximum enjoyment.

Glenn Miller & His Orchestra - I Know Why and So Do You
Lyrics:
Why do robins sing in December,
Long before the springtime is due?
And even though it's snowing,
Violets are growing,
I know why and so do you.
Why do breezes sigh ev'ry evening,
Whispering your name as they do?
And why have I the feeling
Stars are on my ceiling?
I know why and so do you.
When you smile at me,
I hear gypsy violins;
When you dance with me,
I'm in heaven when the music begins.
I can see the sun when it's raining,
Hiding ev'ry cloud from my view;
And why do I see rainbows
When you're in my arms?
I know why and so do you.
